Award winning article: representation of disability in reality TV

22 05 2012

In my last year in Amsterdam, colleagues and I did  research about the representation of disability in reality TV for  a Dutch charity working for the disabled and chronically ill.  Our initial energy was very much on the application of the research for policy and funding decisions of the charity. We focused only later on the academic output. Today we received the Telstra-TJA Christopher Newell Award for one of the pieces. Really nice surprise!
