Keynote in Manchester at the Internet Research 13th conference

21 10 2012

I did the third and optimal version of Fixating the fragmented self in Manchester, for an audience of some 300 internet researchers. Not being a member of the twitterati, I did not realise beforehand that my talk would be accompanied by tweets from the first sound I made. Axel Bruns, an Australian internet researcher even produced a live blog which almost literally transcribed what I said (am joking, it is actually a good summary). The tweets were all really nice and supportive, so that was a relief. It was fun to be there, met a lot of old and new friends, and did a summary presentation of the Fitna project as well. The picture below was made by Helen Keagan, I found it in the twitter feed and on Fllickr.
