Talking about Borgen in Rotterdam

21 06 2013

Last week (June 13), I participated in a fun public debate about Borgen, the Danish TV-drama about  a prime minister and her team. The panelists showed fragments they liked and discussed the wider political or social relevance of it. I showed a scene from season 2, episode 10, in which the psychiatrist tells prime minister and mother Birgitte, that the psychological problems of her daughter are not her fault. Very touching scene for all working mothers. Then the setting moves to a meeting between Birgitte and her ex-husband who could handle her being a prime minister. She trashes him for having been weak and egocentric, and he cannot but agree. Very rewarding scene as well. Check the nice poster they made of the panelists. 270532_10151397389686036_569841441_n
